Miss Dianne Dianne Stoffel-Duley is the owner of Dance Unlimited, but had taught at the studio since 1994 when it was Barbara Lynn's and then Footnotes. She began dancing at the age of five at Miss Bonnie's School of Dance in Del Rio, Texas. After moving to Buda, Miss Dianne took dance at Barbara Lynn's Dance Studio, became a Jack C. Hays Highstepper and served as an officer on the dance team for two years. Miss Dianne graduated cum laude from SWT in May of 1997 with a degree in Exercise Sports Science-Dance with secondary teacher's certification. Throughout her college years she continuously taught at Barbara Lynn's Dance Studio/Footnotes Dance Studio, while also teaching for Sunshine Generation Performing Group, Hermann Son's Dance in Lockhart and Children's World Learning Center. Miss Dianne has training in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, gymnastics, Cecchetti, modern dance and Pointe and experience adjudicating regional dance competitions. Her business accomplishments include winning the Small Business of the Year Award, being nominated for the Business Person of the Year by the Buda Area Chamber of Commerce for 2004 and being recognized for her outstanding contributions as a Hays County Woman Entrepreneur. She has a very wonderful and supportive husband, Brian and two adorable children, Kayla and Brenden.
Miss Amy Amy Eckhardt began teaching with us in 2002 and began our hip-hop program. She began dancing in high school as a member of the Jack C. Hays Highsteppers. Her senior year Miss Amy had the honor of serving as Drill Team Captain. She began teaching dance at Barton Junior High where she implemented a successful dance program. Miss Amy then started an in home daycare so she could spend more time with her children. Miss Amy shares a lot with Dance Unlimited, including her experience caring for and raising children and her hip-hop and jazz abilities. She is also trained in tap, ballet, lyrical and Pointe. She has three beautiful children Kelsi, Taylor, and Paige and an amazing husband, Troy.
Miss Beth Miss Beth Bisett has been teaching dance for over 35 years and has served as our pointe instructor since 1998. Beth grew up in Tyler, Texas where she studied ballet, jazz, tap, and musical theatre under Utah Ground, teacher and mentor to Tommy Tune and Sandy Duncan on their way to Broadway. Beth also studied and performed at TJC, TCU, Lon Morris, SWTSU, and NWLSU. While at SWTSU, she received a best actress
nomination for her portrayal of "Peter Pan." Since moving to San Marcos she has acquired numerous credits choreographing productions at
SWTSU, San Marcos Children's Theatre, San Marcos High School, and Alamo Heights High School, including The Fantasticks (with 2007 Tony winner
Julie White), Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma, Carousel, Guys and Dolls, the Music Man, and many others. Beth recently received her certification in
Classical Stretch - The Esmonde Technique (as seen on PBS).
Miss Callie Miss Callie began taking dance from Dance Unlimited at age two, and started teaching dance in 2005. She was on the competitive dance team at Dance Unlimited for 9 years and has been in two televised showcases. She has attended many dance conventions and competitions and has had the honor of teaching in workshops. Miss Callie has trained in gymnastics, ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and lyrical. She is a student at Texas State and has plans to continue training in dance and pursue dance as her career.
Miss Hannah Miss Hannah has been dancing with us since she was 2 years old. She started out at Barbara Kay's School of Dance at the age of 2 and continued to dance when the studio became Footnotes and then Dance Unlimited. She was on our 3-D dance team for 9 years until she joined the highschool drill team. Miss Hannah has training in ballet, tap, jazz, gymnastics, lyrical and drill team. She has been an office assistant for over a year and a substitute instructor. Hannah is now a senior and a Lieutenant on the Hays HighSteppers.
Miss Kyle Kyle has been dancing with Footnotes/Dance Unlimited since 1996, and was a member of our team for over six years. She is trained in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, pointe and gymnastics. She has been working as an office assistant at Dance Unlimited since 2002 and a sub since 2003. She graduated top 10% from Hays High School in 2007 and was a member of several extra curricular activities, including being president of Hays High School Theatre Troupe and president of the Hays Leo Club, which is very involved in community service projects throughout the Buda-Kyle area. Her favorite volunteer events are Race for the Cure and the Buda Lions Club annually sponsored Relay for Life. She also competed in UIL for four years in events ranging from Prose and Poetry to One Act Play to Choir and Accounting. Kyle will be attending Texas State University in fall of 2007, is planning on a liberal arts major and is very excited about teaching this year at Dance Unlimited!
Miss Laurie is a certified kickboxing instructor and has been teaching adult fitness at our studio since the summer of 2004 and combination classes in the spring of 2005. She is a native Austinite who has lived in Buda since 2001. She has spent most of her life involved in theatre, dance and fitness and received her Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Theatre Arts in 1999 from the University of Texas at Austin. Miss Laurie taught second and sixth grades in AISD and then worked for the Center for Public Policy Priorities, which is a non-profit advocacy group for low-income Texans. Miss Laurie has completed three Motorola marathons. She taught aerobics before and is thrilled to be back combining her love for teaching, fitness and dance. Laurie has an amazing husband, Rahm, and a beautiful and spunky daughter Louisa Grace.
Miss Lindsey began at the age of two at Debbie Bennett Green School of Dancing in Victoria, TX. She was a member of the Debbie's Dazzlers, competing since she was in the 2nd grade. Lindsey moved on to the Stutters, a junior high drill team, and held the position of 1st lieutenant. She graduated with honors from Victoria Memorial High School, where she proudly participated on their drill team, The Victoriadores. Lindsey received the titles of 3rd junior lt. and 1st senior captain. She was named National Champion with her duet, trio, officer ensembles, team kick, team jazz, team open, team military, team hip hop, team show production, and was an ADTS High Kick Finalist her senior year. She is currently a student at Texas State University pursuing a degree in Interior Design. Lindsey has always had a passion for dance and is grateful for the opportunity to share it with all of her students.
Miss Naomi Miss Naomi Payette has been a student at our studio since she was very young and began teaching her own classes in 2003. She attended Hays High School and was very active in Theater, especially musicals. Miss Naomi has always been active in her Church, leading many children and youth activities. Miss Naomi was a member of the 3-D Dance Team, performing throughout the area, attending conventions, and competing in national competitions. Miss Naomi's extensive background includes training in tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, Pointe, clogging, gymnastics, yoga, and even liturgical dance. Her goal as a dance teacher is to make sure each student, child or adult receives all the benefits of dance. She is currently pursing a degree at the University of Texas at Austin.
Miss Shawn Miss Shawn has been one of Dance Unlimited's leading preschool dance instructors since 1999. She started dancing when she was three years old at Barbara Lynn's Dance Studio. As she worked her way up she eventually became a member of the award winning Dance Etc. Dance Company in Oak Hill. In high school Miss Shawn was a Jack C. Hays Highstepper for two years. She has many years of studio, collegiate, and professional convention training in tap, ballet, Cecchetti, jazz, lyrical, modern, and Pointe. When she is not at the studio Miss Shawn is a professional hairstylist. However, her love for teaching has made evident her amazing ability to give young children the gift of dance and music.
Miss Stephanie Miss Stephanie has been teaching at Dance Unlimited since June 2006. She has been dancing for 15+ years and has been a dance instructor for 5+ years. Her training began at Taylor Dance Studio in Nederland, Texas, and continued at Amy Dufour's Dance Center and Cynde Lomonte's Dance Dimensions in Sugar Land, Texas. At Dance Dimensions, Stephanie won many awards competing as a soloist and in small and large groups. She graduated from Dulles High School in 2004 and was on the Dulles Dolls Dance Team for 3 years. She had the honor to be Captain her senior year. On the dance team she received many awards as a soloist, and led her team to top awards in officer and large team divisions. Stephanie's training includes ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, novelty, gymnastics, cheer, and drill team. She graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Stephanie is currently in the Teacher Fellows Graduate Program at Texas State University and teaching 3rd grade at Negley Elementary.
